How Fast Can You Run? | Valheim
You’ve probably noticed that certain scenarios or items can impact your movement speed.
For example, carrying too much weight can encumber you, decreasing your speed significantly. Whilst other items, like the Fenris armor set, can make you feel a little lighter on your feet.
So, this got me thinking… what is the fastest speed that I can achieve? Well, as usual, I did the research so you don’t have to.
A new character starts with a base running speed of 7m/s but as you level up your running skill, this will gradually increase to around 8.75m/s, or 25%.
You will soon discover the fenris armour set which will increase your movement speed by 9%, or 3% per piece.
Upon meeting the Bog Witch, you will gain access to the Ratatosk potion, which boosts movement speed by 15%.
The Ashlands will open the door to the Asksvin Cloak which can double your movement speed when you have full wind strength directly behind you.
Finally, the forsaken power unlocked by defeating Fader will grants a 10% speed boost whilst activated.
Achieving all of these buffs simultaneously, will increase our running speed from 7m/s to around 24m/s.
