Promises are now native to Node.js v4+ but they aren't native to mongodb. In this video you will learn how to add promises to mongooseJS.

We'll be using a starting CRUD app using express and mongoose. Postman will be used in order to make POST and GET requests to our API.

I have 3 terminal commands open for this example. 1: mongodb is running, 2: nodemon is running my app on port 8080, 3: mongo shell is open to remove books for testing.
