A String Is A Sequence Of Characters That Represents Text Data. In PLC Programming, Strings Are Used To Store And Manipulate Textual Data Such As Messages, Key, Alarm Messages, Security Key Etc. For Storing String, We Use String Data Type. The Data Type STRING Consists Of A Series Of Up To 32767 ASCII Characters. The Maximum Number Of Characters Depends On The Memory Size Of The PLC. You Can Declare String Data Type As Global Variable Or POU Header. The Syntax Of String Data Type Is String[N] =''; Where N Is A Number Of Characters, The Default Number Of Characters For STRING Is 32.
