Welcome back to Guide with Samuel! In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to add a template button in Notion — a powerful way to automate tasks, duplicate content, and speed up your workflow.

Step-by-step:

Open your Notion workspace and navigate to the page where you want the template button.

Type /template and select Template Button from the dropdown.

Name your button (e.g., “New Task” or “Daily Notes”).

Click Configure to set what content will be duplicated when the button is pressed.

Add any blocks you want to include in the template (text, tables, checklists, etc.).

Press Close — your template button is ready.

Test it by clicking the button to ensure the content duplicates correctly.

Pro tips: Use template buttons for recurring tasks, daily notes, or pre-formatted project layouts to save time.
