Got PDFs with scanned pages or text trapped inside images? PyMuPDF4LLM converts them straight to Markdown with automatic OCR.

In this tutorial, we cover:
• Automatic OCR — just call to_markdown and Tesseract handles scanned pages for you (requires Tesseract or RapidOCR installed).
• Hybrid OCR — for documents mixing selectable and non-selectable text, OCR runs only where it's needed, preserving original text quality.
• Disabling OCR — set use_ocr=False to skip OCR entirely, on all pages or specific ones.
• Multi-language support — pass Tesseract language codes (like deu for German) to OCR non-English documents. Just make sure the matching language data files are installed.
