In your learning time you are going to come to a point where you will be doing multiple things on a server or a switch or just some excel sheet.
In cases like those, if you go linearly, that is one by one, it is going to take you a lot of time to finish the execution of the program.
Why? Because the program won't go to the second item until it finishes the first. Threading is used in such scenarios to help you do multiple things at the same time from the same process.
