In this session you will learn about Joins, Keeps, Load inline and Automated
Joins
-------
If we want establish relationship between two tables, we need to implement Join
To implement Join, Two tables must contain common column
In Qlikview, If there is a common column between two tables, those will be joined automatically
In Qlikview, Default is Outer Join
Inner Join
---------------
Equal Condition
Left Join
------------
Load all the Records from Left Side Table
Only Matching Records from Right Side Table
For Non matching, It will display NULLs
Right Join
--------------
Load all the Records from Right side Table
Only Matching Records from Left Side Table
for Non matching, It will display NULLs
Outer Join
---------------
Left Join + Right Join
Note:

If we implement Join, internally two tables will be combined into a single table, containing combination of columns and millions of Records
Large Table - Loading time is High - Poor performance
Keep
-------
Instead of combining two tables into a single table, it will maintain two tables individually but number of records will be reduced based on Join Condition
Individual Tables - Small Tables - Less Loading Time - High Performance
In Keep, We have only Inner Keep, Left Keep and Right Keep.
We should not use 'keep' or 'Outer Keep' in the script
Load Inline

Instead of Loading Tables from external Data Sources, If we want create in Qlikview itself, we can do by using Load Inline

Load * Inline [
A,B
1,aa
2,cc
3,ee
];
Automated Way
----------------------
Go to Insert Tab - Load Statement - Load Inline - A Spread sheet Type Window will be opened - Give Data - ok - Load Inline Statement will be generated automatically
