05 05 Train Test Split
Evaluating your model's performance on the same dataset used for training is equivalent to helping your model to cheat. This is because the adjustments made to the weights and biases are based on how the model performs on the training dataset so it can easily memorize them without really learning any patterns that can be generalized onto never-seen data. In this video, I demonstrate how to split your dataset into training and test sets.
