How To Embed A YouTube Video Into WordPress
http://imchriscole.com/how-to-embed-a... - We all take things for granted when it is something that we do day in, day out...
BUT - we all had to learn how to embed YouTube videos into our WordPress blogs at one point. Unless you're really smart you will have to find a tutorial on how you can embed the video into your WordPress page.
Here is a simple tutorial on embedding YouTube Videos into WordPress
To find your embed code look to below the video player on the YouTube page where the video is located. There you'll see a set of links - 'About' 'Share' 'Add to' - You want to select the 'Share option.
Following that you'll see more links appear below this. This time you need to choose the 'Embed' option.
When you click the embed option, you will see there is a box with HTML code, and below this you have further customization options. You should choose your customization options and your video size from the drop-down box. One you have completed your settings you need to copy all of the code YouTube present to you for embedding this video.
Now you head across to your WordPress page or post. You will need to go into edit mode to add this code to your page. Once within the WordPress editor you will see two tabs to the right of the page, one saying 'Visual' and the other saying 'Text'. You need to paste your code into the text tab.
A Little tip - if you are unsure of what you are doing in this text tab otherwise known as HTML editor, then you can do the following.
On the visual editor go to the exact spot you want your YouTube video within your page and type 'Insert video here' or something like that. Then when you switch over to the 'Text' tab you can simply find the text you typed. Highlight the exact text you typed and replace it with the code you copied from YouTube.
This will insert the embed code exactly where you want it on your page.
Please bookmark this page if you're new as you can refer to it again the next time you want to embed videos. It really is easy to do (once you know how), but many forget that everybody has to learn at some point.
I hope this video helps you better understand how to grab the code you need and finally embed videos into your website.
