Thank you to Jon Peltier and Jeff Lenning for inspiring this post. Adding a line to bar charts in excel is pretty easy, there are many ways to do it. But if you ever had the desire to put the bar BEHIND the bars you've probably done a lot of Googling. In this video I show you an easy way to accomplish this. I think it's a valuable trick especially if you have data labels inside the end of your bars and perhaps a benchmark line that crosses through and over the label. Using this technique you can keep your benchmark line and keep your data labels separated and clear.
