Before starting this lesson, check your spam and trash folders to ensure you do not have legitimate emails that were inadvertently filtered to one of these folders. Because once you begin deleting emails you don’t want to sift through hundreds of emails to find ones you need to keep.

Next, go to your inbox and locate one of those annoying emails that you keep receiving from unwanted senders.

Hover your mouse over the email, click the magnifier button, and Yahoo begins filtering emails from this sender into a separate window.

Make sure all of the emails have loaded in the window so that when you get ready to choose the Select All check box, they will all get selected.

You have several options to choose from

You can either choose all of the emails and send them directly to the trash (which is automatically deleted from Yahoo every 7 days) BUT, that means you will continue receiving future emails from this sender.

OR

You can send them ALL to the SPAM folder (which is automatically deleted in 30 days)
Choosing this option will quarantine all future emails from this sender to the SPAM folder.

Caution: Do not UNSUBSCRIBE from emails of unknown senders because you may find yourself receiving more SPAM emails or even worse situations. But, if you subscribed to a service and you recognize their email address, it is only fair to opt out instead of marking them as SPAMMERS.
