How to improve GTmetrix score - Add Expires headers, Leverage browser caching? NO PLUGIN | 2021
There are various factors that determine the GTmetrix score (to achieve 100), however, we will be looking at two things today - Add Expires Headers & Leverage Browser Caching. Without using any plugin we will improve this score.
We don't need to access Cpanel instead can work with WP File Manager & edit the .htaccess file. The process is very simple and no technical knowledge is required.
Additionally, plugins like Autoptimize, WP Rocket are very good to improve the WordPress optimization speed.
However, we would like to remind you that GTmetrix is alone is not the factor that makes a website great, if you run a test of youtube.com on GTmetrix you can see how bad the score is, yet Youtube is an amazing site.
