Hey! In this video we take a look how to protect your Chrome Extension source code & specifically your API Keys. Including why minifying your code can help but also how to use a Lambda function to ensure your API Keys are not written in your extension source code for anyone to view.
The methods shown are not 100% secure but are good steps to take to begin to secure your extension. As mentioned the best method is to have any external calls go through your own server to ensure you only return data to authenticated users.
