This twisted bassline’s all about movement, grit and groove. It’s from my track The Fog, which came out on Saturate Records’ sister label Sound Museum.
In this video I’m showing how I built this dubstep bass in Serum 2 in Ableton Live, starting from raw tones, then shaping the rhythm with distortion, modulation, and a single LFO running the whole show. It’s that 16th-note bassline vibe you hear in a lot of modern UK stuff, but done in my own Minosaur style.
