GitLab Runner Not Working Reason & Solution 2 - Protected Branch - Practical & Theory
In this video we will see reason no 2 of gitlab runner is not working. We will see that why a runner is not picking up any job neither allowing any ci-cd pipeline to run.
The reason is a protected branch. If the protected checkbox is checked and an user push the code to an unprotected branch or user role does not have sufficient permissions in this case the issue will arise.
The solution is very simple either unchecked protected checkbox or make a branch a protected branch.
