How to Change Spotify Equalizer Settings (Boost Bass, Treble & More!)

Does your music on Spotify sound a little flat or not quite right? The built-in Equalizer (EQ) lets you customize the sound to match your headphones, speakers, and personal taste! In this video, I’ll show you how to find and use the Spotify Equalizer on Android, iPhone, and even desktop to boost bass, enhance vocals, or create your own perfect sound profile.

Steps Covered (Android):

Open the Spotify app.

Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner.

Scroll down and tap "Playback".

Select "Equalizer".

Toggle the Equalizer ON.

Choose a preset like "Bass Booster," "Treble Reducer," or "Pop."

Or, drag the dots on the custom graph to create your own sound!

Steps Covered (iPhone):

Open Settings on your iPhone (not in Spotify).

Scroll down and tap "Music" (or "Spotify" if available).

Tap "EQ" (Equalizer).

Choose a preset or create your own.

Note: The Equalizer affects ALL audio on your phone, not just Spotify.

Pro Tip: Adjust the EQ based on your headphones—cheap earbuds might need more bass, while studio headphones might sound great on "Flat."
