📌 What the Orange/Green Dot Means
🔴 Orange Dot: Microphone is being used.
🟢 Green Dot: Camera is being used.
🔵 Blue Dot: Location is being accessed.
(This is a privacy feature on Android 12+ to alert you of active sensors.)
📌 How to Check Which App is Causing It
1️⃣ Swipe down the notification bar.
2️⃣ Tap the dot notification → It’ll show the app using your mic/camera.
3️⃣ Force-stop or uninstall suspicious apps.
(Example: Facebook, Instagram, or a spyware app might trigger it.)
📌 How to Disable the Dot (If Possible)
Option 1: Turn Off App Permissions
1️⃣ Go to Settings → Privacy → Permission Manager.
2️⃣ Tap Microphone/Camera → Revoke access for suspicious apps.
Option 2: Disable via Developer Options (Advanced Users)
(⚠️ Not recommended—may break security features.)
1️⃣ Enable Developer Options (Tap Build Number 7 times in Settings → About Phone).
2️⃣ Go to Developer Options → Search for "Privacy indicators".
3️⃣ Toggle OFF.
(Not available on all phones—Samsung/Pixel may block this.)
📌 Alternative: Use a Screen Overlay App
Apps like "Nacho Notch" can hide the dot (but won’t stop recording).
⚠️ Important Notes:
✅ Don’t ignore it! The dot means an app is actively recording.
✅ Malware? If the dot appears randomly, scan with Malwarebytes.
✅ Some phones (Samsung, Pixel) don’t allow disabling it for security.
