Hey everyone, it's Matt here. Today, I'm going to show you how to quickly create a playlist on Spotify.
I'm on my desktop account, but don't worry, everything I'm showing you works just as well on mobile. First off, head to the top left of your Spotify homepage.
You'll see a "Create" button right under your library. Click on that, and you'll have a few options pop up.
Choose "Playlist" at the top. Once you do that, Spotify will generate a new playlist for you, initially named something like "My Playlist 1." But let's make it more personal.
Click on the name and let's rename it to something cool, like "Awesome Playlist." You can also add a description if you feel like it, but that's totally optional. Now, the fun part begins.
In the search bar, start looking for songs you want to add. Let's say you're in the mood for some Chili Peppers or The Beatles.
Just type their names in, and you can start adding songs to your playlist by hitting the "Add" button next to each song. You can also personalize your playlist even further by adding a photo to it.
Just click on the photo icon at the top left of your playlist page. And remember, all the playlists you create or follow will show up in the panel on the left side of your desktop app.
If you ever stumble upon a song you want to add while browsing Spotify, just click the three dots next to the song, hover over "Add to Playlist," and select "Awesome Playlist." Boom, it's added. I chose to demonstrate this on desktop to keep things simple, but remember, the process is the same on mobile.
