Fix Connection Error Failed to join game lobby in Helldivers 2
If you get this error in Helldivers2, connection error: failed to join game lobby. Timed out, and you can no longer play with randoms or friends follow the steps below to resolve this issue.
✅ Restart your Network
Turn off your internet router for at least five minutes, then turn it back on (Even if your internet connection is completely stable, this has been reported to help others)
✅ Use a Different Network
Switch to a mobile hotspot or a different Wi-Fi. The current network may have blocked Helldiver's servers. Also make sure you are not connected to a VPN.
✅ Verify the integrity of your Game Files
✅Disable IPv6 in the adapter settings
You can re-enable it later
✅Try signing out of Steam and then signing back in.
✅Delete your shader cache.
This can be done by pressing Windows key + R at the same time and searching for %appdata%. Enter the 'Arrowhead' folder and then delete the 'Helldivers2' folder.
Please note that doing this will likely reset your in-game settings, so you may have to reconfigure them the next time you launch the game
If all else fails, wait and try again later. Some players have reported that this error usually resolves by the next day, indicating the issue may be on the server's end.
