My first pick is WP Rocket for site optimization and speed. WP Rocket allows you to manage file optimization, lazy load images, optimize your database, and even control the WordPress Heartbeat API. This is a fantastic tool for anyone looking to make their site run faster and more efficiently. Pricing starts at $59 for a single site.
2. AAWP (Amazon Affiliate WordPress Plugin)
If you’re running an affiliate site, AAWP is an excellent plugin for creating Amazon affiliate product boxes. These boxes display official Amazon data directly from the API, ensuring compliance. You can also create tables and comparison charts. Pricing starts at $79 for one site.
3. Sucuri
Security is critical, and Sucuri is my go-to for protecting my WordPress sites. It offers a firewall, malware scanning, and auditing tools. They also provide a premium service for malware removal and hack recovery. The basic plugin is free, but paid plans start at $199 per year.
4. MonsterInsights
MonsterInsights makes it easy to connect your WordPress site to Google Analytics. It allows you to view basic analytics within the WordPress dashboard or access full data on Google Analytics itself. I use it primarily to attach my Google Analytics ID for better tracking and insights.

Code Snippets is an incredible tool for adding custom code to your WordPress site, whether it’s CSS, JavaScript, or PHP. It’s perfect for site-specific customizations without editing core files. There’s a free version and a paid version available at WPCode.com.
6. Elementor
Elementor is a drag-and-drop website builder that lets you create stunning pages without coding. I use Elementor Pro, but the free version also has robust features. It’s ideal for creating landing pages, blogs, and even entire websites with ease.
Bonus Plugin: Classic Editor
For those who prefer the older WordPress editor over the block-based Gutenberg editor, the Classic Editor plugin allows you to switch back. It’s free and gives you the flexibility to choose the editing style that works for you.
