▬▬▬▬ Video Transcript ▬▬▬▬

Hey everyone, it’s Matt! In this quick video, I’m going to show you how to add text to an image in Google Docs.

I’ve got a blank document open with some placeholder text, and there’s a spot for the image we’re going to work with. First, we need to insert our image.

Head to the top menu and click on “Insert.” Instead of selecting “Image,” we’re going to choose “Drawing.” Hover over it and click on “New.” This action opens up a drawing canvas where we can add our image and text. Now, let’s add the image.

You can upload an image from various sources, like your computer, webcam, URL, Google Drive, or Google Images. For this tutorial, I’m going to click “Browse” to upload an image from my computer.

I’ve got a beautiful mountain landscape saved from Unsplash, so I’ll select that. Once I open it, the image appears in the drawing canvas, and it looks great!

Next, it’s time to add some text. On the canvas, look for the text box icon, which looks like two T’s.

Click on it, and then click anywhere on the canvas where you want your text to appear. I’m just going to type “This is some text” for demonstration purposes.

Now, we can manipulate the text. You can adjust the size, change the font, and even make it bold or italic.

For example, I can set the font size to 30 and change the font to Helvetica New in bold. You can also underline the text or change its color.

Feel free to play around with these options to get the look you want. Once you’re happy with how it looks, click “Save and Close” in the top right corner.

Just like that, your image with text is now inserted into your Google Docs document. It’s positioned exactly where you wanted it, and you can edit it anytime if you need to make changes.

That’s all there is to it! I hope you found this video helpful.
