In this lesson I configure Group Policy to allow ICMP echo requests through the firewall of all computers in the domain. When I joined my Windows 7 computer to a domain controlled by Windows Server 2008 R2 I was no longer able to use the PING utility to test connectivity with the computer. I made a change in the Default Domain Policy to allow ICMP echo requests and then was able to PING the client computer.
