Silhouette Essentials Comp - 06B Adding the Right Blur [Boris FX compositing]
This is the free version of Silhouette Essentials - Compositing with Ben Brownlee. Now the texture is sitting correctly over the arm, it is time to tweak up the shapes one final time. After we have used color correction to do color matching between the two elements, we explore the idea of blur and sharpness. Blur is a compositor's best friend when used correctly, but can lead to some very dodgy results if used without care. In this exercise we look at blurring edges, manually matching motion blur, and paying attention to the details.
Respect the blur and discover why we want to use it only once we are at a particular stage of the composite.
