MADEIRA CAKE

An easy delicious cake made in no time

I converted this recipe from grams so these are approximate US Cup Measurements

Recipe

175g/ 1 1/2 Cups of Plain Flour
50g/ 1/3 Cup + 1tbsp of Fine Cornmeal
2 tsp Baking Powder
175g/ 3/4 Cup + 1tbsp of Caster Sugar
175g/ 1 1/2 Sticks of Butter
3 Large Eggs

Cornmeal is optional. Go with 225g of Plain Flour instead then if you prefer that

You can also add lemon and vanilla to this if you want. There are a few variations out there so play around with it

Bake at 180C/356F Conventional Oven for 40 minutes. Slab on a bit of butter. Enjoy!
